The key ingredients
Pycnogenol®, carnosine, hyaluronic acid, and a repair complex made from Bifidus Ferment Lysate are the key active ingredients in the new active ingredient concept of our repair day and night care.
As potent antioxidants, Pycnogenol® and carnosine work against free radicals that arise when the skin is exposed to stressors. These can be UV rays, environmental pollution such as exhaust fumes, or even stressful life situations, which can also affect the appearance of the skin. Studies also show that carnosine reduces skin redness. And there is evidence that carnosine can curb the so-called glycation in the skin, a natural process in the body that contributes to the skin losing elasticity and firmness at an early stage.
Hyaluronic acid, in turn, can bind up to a thousand times its weight in water. On the one hand, hyaluronic acid has the ability to retain water in the skin and protect it from dehydration; on the other hand, it also has an intensive moisturizing effect. This can make the skin appear fresher and plumper.
These power INCIs are flanked by a repair complex made from Bifidus Ferment Lysate, which not only strengthens the skin barrier and promotes the skin's natural regeneration, but also provides the skin with additional moisture.
The cream base
The cream base of our two repairs is a concentrated mix of valuable oils, waxes, and fats. Using soybean oil, jojoba oil, and mango butter, we have created a cream base that helps the skin retain moisture during the day, soothes and keeps it supple and elastic. Our REPAIR BALSAM day care is lightly formulated as an oil-in-water emulsion without weighing down the skin.
Its counterpart - the night cream REPAIR SUPREME - is formulated more richly as a water-in-oil emulsion and also contains lanolin, which acts like a natural protective shield on the skin and perfectly supports the skin in its "overnight regeneration".
