Bisabolol is an oily liquid, colorless, sometimes slightly yellowish. It is primarily extracted from chamomile essential oil, but can also be produced synthetically. Bisabolol has been valued in skin care cosmetics for many years because, among other things, it has a soothing effect on the skin, promotes skin regeneration, can relieve itching and feelings of tightness, and is extremely well tolerated. For these reasons, bisabolol is also commonly found in skin care products for sensitive skin, in after-sun care products, and even in shaving care.
